Find and replace
Watch it in a short video
Looking for a word in a long document? Or want to change a name everywhere in one go? That's what find and replace is for.
Find
Press Ctrl + F (on Mac Cmd + F) or click the magnifying glass on the left. Type what you're looking for. Euro-Office highlights all the spots in the document and lists them. Click a result to jump to it, or use the arrows to move from one to the next.
Replace
- Click the Replace button on the right of the Home tab (1), or press Ctrl + H.
- Under Find, type what you want to replace, and below it the new text.
- Click Replace to do it one at a time, or Replace All to change everything in one go.

Tick Case sensitive if the difference between capital and lower-case letters matters. With Whole words only, you won't find "net" inside "network".
Tip: having second thoughts after using Replace All? Press Ctrl + Z to undo it in one go.
